WHAT IS IT?
This course of study is designed to train students for careers and job opportunities in government including the federal government and civil service, as well as state, county and municipal governments. Students will learn a wide range of skills in areas that include public policy formation and implementation; public budgeting process; fiscal and monetary policy; urban and regional planning at the municipal, regional, state, and national levels; political, economic, legal, and social issues affecting comprehensive planning efforts; community development and land use; intergovernmental relations, ethics, and accountability; personnel management; and labor relations.
