Baby Z: FMP 2018 Final Presentation | Page 120

To start off, I’ll say that I thoroughly enjoyed this major project- although I had some difficulty coming up with an initial business idea, I was pleased with the one I chose, and I was happy and excited to be working on a concept which I was passionate about and that I wanted to take further. Throughout this project, I discovered that there were so many more paths that my idea could take and how relevant the context was today. Personally, I feel that my understanding of the concept and how it has affected women today was strong- this came from a combination of my first-hand experiences, speaking to other women, reading blog posts and following influential social media accounts and looking at the fashion industry itself today. These factors helped me to pull together a detailed, direct and relevant marketing strategy, along with a customer profile. I feel that my photoshoots went particularly well and captured the type of images that I had in mind- almost natural, comfortable and real photos of my models. I was pleased with my mini-look book, which told the background and story of each girl, because I’d finally come to the perfect layout after a long time of playing around with image sizes, shapes and fonts. I’m pleased with my look book because I think my target customer would feel more related when looking at it and therefore might feel much closer and connected with the brand. Another thing I feel went well was my on-going planning and weekly reflections (my SMART target sheets). I’ve had issues, in the past, of forgetting to fill them in until weeks later- this caused my tasks to become very unorganised and gave me no structure for the completion of my work. This also meant that I wasn’t analysing the good and bad points of my week, understanding how I could improve in the next week and not keeping track of tasks that I did not get time to complete. During this project I was reflecting ritually to avoid all those things and it really did help me.
