SC: What are you currently working on?
This has been a busy year for me. After Dial QR for Murder, the first Digital Age
Cozy, I hopped right into finishing book two. In Prepped for the Kill, my main
character can’t ignore her growing love for the assistant district attorney. There
was no better way for me to invite readers for a glimpse into their relationship
than with a sweet novella. This became the romance mystery, Ten Days in
Tahiti. Isis Ferrelli has vacation days left, after returning from her horrible
weekend at the Reebok Refuge Silo in book two. She and Jason Shahaman
escape to the French Polynesian Island, only to get wrapped up in a jewel heist.
SC: Of the books you’ve written, which one is your favorite and why?
Published or unpublished? Haha! Well, from either, I really can’t decide. Every
manuscript and book in succession has helped me grow as a writer. I owe each
a debt of gratitude.
SC: What books have most influenced you as a writer?
Believe it or not, I’m quite fond of Shakespeare and poets such as Keats, Yates,
and Browning. From their works, I learned how to “speak” from the heart and
intone upon the human spirit. Corny, right? But it gets better, because I scribble
in different genres. Stephen King novels always give me the mental juice I need
for writing horror and thrillers. Works from H. P. Lovecraft incite the fantastically
weird in me for science fiction. In women’s fiction, I’d say Toni Morrison and
Octavia Butler have been my greatest influences. Naturally for mystery, I love
Agatha Christie novels.
