election.
On Thursday the 15th of September the Baird
Government announced its intention to enter into
Private Public Partnerships for 5 hospitals across
NSW including at Wyong Hospital.
I was shocked. At the 2015 state election, the
Liberals matched Labor’s commitment and
promised a $200 million upgrade to our
hospital. They mentioned nothing about
private sector involvement; they in no way
even attempted to take this to the people.
This Government has lost it’s way, they have gone
too far and the community at large will reject their
agenda. I hope to have your support in this fight.

Wyong Hospital was started by the
community, it came to exist because the
community fund raised and fought for their
fair share of state money to get the much
needed project off the ground. The community
naturally feels like they are being robbed of their
hospital. In this I agree with them.
Any sale of a public asset as important as a hospital
needs to be taken to the community. If the Baird
Government is so confident of the merits of
