Terrigal Haven
boat ramp
reopened after
$1 million
makeover
The Terrigal Haven boat ramp has
been officially reopened, following
its $1 million makeover
“Volunteers of Terrigal Marine Rescue work tirelessly to keep our
popular waterways safe for everyone to enjoy,” said Mr Reynolds.
Officially reopened by NSW Premier The Hon. Mike Baird MP,
Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch MP, Roads and Maritime
Services Director Maritime, Angus Mitchell and Central Coast
Council Administrator Ian Reynolds, this popular recreational
facility now provides a safer and more accessible entry point
into the ocean for boaters and other aquatic enthusiasts.
Central Coast Council CEO Rob Noble said improvements to
our vital recreational facilities, such as the Terrigal Haven boat
ramp, are a further drawcard to attract visitors to the Central
Coast.
Central Coast Council Administrator Ian Reynolds has thanked
the NSW Government for its $750,000 contribution to this
project, saying the upgrade represents a vital investment in
one of our region’s most important aquatic assets.
“The Terrigal Haven boat ramp is one of only two in the
southern part of the Central Coast that provides direct ocean
access for boats in our area,” said Mr Reynolds.
“Without a $750,000 grant through the NSW Government’s
Boating Now program, improvements to this popular facility
would not have been possible.
“Upgrading this essential infrastructure has enhanced Terrigal
Haven and its surrounding area as a premier tourist and
recreational destination.”

“With its million dollar makeover, the boat ramp is now a safer and
more accessible infrastructure asset to the benefit of both the
local residents and visitors who utilise our popular waterways,”
said Mr Noble.
“This will result in an economic, social and tourism boost for our
region”.
Promotion of our local assets and highlighting everything
that is great about the Central Coast is the basis of Council’s
recently launched place marketing campaign, This is the Life.
“This is the Life is aimed at shaping people’s perceptions of
our region by sharing our stories, celebrating our successes
and highlighting what’s great about this amazing place,” Mr
Noble added.

Council also welcomed Mr Baird and Mr Crouch’s announcement
today of a $20,000 grant to Terrigal Marine Rescue, which
operates adjacent to the newly upgraded ramp.
“This grant is much needed funding to help them in the
indispensable service they provide to our aquatic community.”
