As a woman, might I
propose that you too are a
mother!
A mother is someone who wants a child to grow up to be a contented,
strong and positive adult. A mother considers a child’s nature and
responds to the specific needs of that child. A mother accepts a child
for who she or he is, and forgives her child for their mistakes, no matter
how immense or minor. A mother is there when a child needs her,
whenever that might be.
Mother’s Day is an occasion that can offer an opportunity to
acknowledge one of the most important people in life - Mum/s. The
day has a changed meaning for those whose mother has passed away,
importantly it can be a time to celebrate loving and cherished memories
with the women in our lives who have impacted us as a mum.
