AYOBA MUSIC MAG SEPTEMBER 2012 | Page 7

around you who always want to be on top putting aside the love of music who are only focused on being big and known not being good enough on what they call deejaying and as a deejay its a sure case when you do good events be sure that not everyone will like what you do instead errors and omissions will be point out from what I try for myself and u always find that ideas are never shared ,it all ends up being an unfair industry in a way no one would change it ,its all about fame n being on the spotlight.

Personally loved deephouse music since I was a teenager n being a deejay was a dream that I made come through because of the passion that I believe I've got for deejaying and as an individual I no longer see passion in music its now all about fame and imitation of who you wanna be like in the industry while it was all about the love of music before. Its quite rare these days to find deejays who love what they do and that music feeds their souls most of them are looking at being at the spotlight.

In my opinion, i think that there ARE a lot of djs in South Africa, but there aren't enough djs who really "UNDERSTAND" music and how to dj. See, because there are so many genre's out there, it is easy for people to

call themselves dj's just cause they play tracks at a party, but if u really look into how us DJ's work, you'll understand that not everybody can become a dj.  #DjMarcYoung

Well to me, the Over Population of DJ's in South Africa affects the industry in a good and bad way. The Good way is that, when it comes to South African House in particular, we as dj's want everyone to listen and distribute the music that we produce, for our and their own benefit in order to get SA House spread over the widest possible area. The Bad way is that, with anything in life when there is to much of something, jealousy and anger arise. WE as the DJ's and Producers don't wanna see this happening in the Club seen in SA or anywhere for that matter. #DjMarcYoung
