5. what are the biggest barriers new Deejays/producers face?

I think the main barrier is that everyone wants to be a ''DJ'' or a producer these days and its a lot easier for people to become them.

For example, you don't need decks anymore to be a DJ …do you ? You don't need a BIG recording studio to be a producer either…. So trying to stand out and be heard amongst the masses of new up and coming DJ's and Producers is harder than ever. Also, it seems that you can no longer make it just as a "DJ" and becoming a producer seems to be vital and in most cases necessary if you really want success in our industry.

6. How important do you think it is to have your music mastered commercially? Can you do it yourself as effectively and what tools would you recommend?

Personally i think this is one of the most important parts of production. This is where the final magic can be created and can sometimes make all the difference to a track. All my music gets professionally mixed and mastered by one of the best in the game Mr. Toni Economides, we work together to make the track as good as it can get. I notice the difference and quality in a big way, especially on club systems. Its most definitely worthwhile and a big recommendation from me.

7. What do you believe is the secret to your success as a Deejay/producer?

I wouldn't say any one thing in particular, its a combination of my talent, being good at what i do, having a high work rate, self promotion, always networking being known in the "scene" and Belief.

Also making the most of opportunities that came my way, that has been crucial for me, i created my own fortune.
