Situated on the Business Park in Newton Aycliffe, CrossFit All Out was opened by Terry and Vikki Anderson at the start of this year and has already built up a strong base of members who follow the same mindset when it comes to fitness. A lot of people are often intimidated by CrossFit and presume it’s a workout where you have to be fit and strong in order to take part, in fact it’s the opposite. Many of the members start out unfit, insecure about themselves or even overweight, but everyone – no matter what shape, size or level of fitness – is made to feel welcome, and part of the CrossFit Community which is known and recognised worldwide as people who work hard with determination. For the summer, they have added classes for 11-16-year-olds on the town - the All Out Academy - in order get involved and see what CrossFit is all about. “Young people are the future of not only CrossFit but of the community and the town,” says Vikki. “We want to invest in the youngsters and set them on the right track to help them gain more confidence and stronger mentalities.” During your first session your score is recorded and later you can redo the WOD (workout of the day) to compare how much you’ve improved.
