“ I feel privileged that I have done this for 40 years – I ’ ve never had a job interview and I ’ ve been my own boss for all those years .
“ It ’ s been good and I ’ ve been to so many wonderful places in my job – Germany , France , Sweden , Yugoslavia and Holland are among the places I ’ ve been , and I ’ ve seen some beautiful scenery across Europe .”
He adds Austria was a particular highlight and describes the Dutch as “ fabulous people ”.
He also reminisces about making “ friends for life ” with the passengers on his coach trips , during those holidays when you ’ d be lucky enough to find a “ lovely crowd ” of people – not to mention the driver ’ s tips !
However , he also remembers how tiring it was making three coach trips per week to Spain in his younger days – and has no desire to return to this life .
Despite this , Nev still has a great little business he may well hand down to one of his two teenage sons one day – if they can tear themselves away from their computers !
“ I ’ m still working hard and I ’ m still enjoying it ,” says Nev , who also recently came out of retirement from singing to form a duo with his daughter and has fond memories of performing in a band and sharing a stage with controversial comedian Roy Chubby Brown .
“ I ’ ve got a great little business and it ’ s given me a job for life ,” he added .
“ We ’ re looking forward to continuing to run a successful business , albeit with smaller vehicles .”
