It’s Sunday… how do you spend it?
A little sleep in (8:30am ish) then strolling down to the Farmers Market to meet
a friend for sour dough doughnuts, coffee and a catch up. The rest of the day
is normally spent tinkering around renovating my little home or in the garden.
Alternatively I will have a little craft session weaving, knitting or sewing. A beach
walk with my dog and husband is also a fabulous way to complete the weekend!
How do you interpret the
conference theme,
‘Praxis: Process. Propositions.
Production.’? What’s your favourite
building in the entire world?
The ‘behind the scenes’ life of an architect visited… Tadao Ando’s Chichu Art
exposed… explored…. and shared. Museum on Naoshima Island, Japan. I
This is tricky…. I am going to narrow it
down to a building that I have actually
really respected the generosity shown
through the architecture to celebrate
art, culture and the ‘nurturing’ of
place. As I moved through the
building I had so many ‘goose bump’
moments… There were times when
the spatial surprises, play of light and
shadow, not to mention the artwork
itself quite literally took my breath
away, the whole experience was just
magic and is etched into my memory.
You’ve had a late night working and you
need a takeaway… what do you get?
