About the e-Guide
Chapter 4, “Hiking in and Around Yerevan,” is for lovers of nature and adventure tourism. The chapter covers hiking tours to four locations - Mount Aragats, Mount Ara, the Khosrov State Reserve and Mount Hatis (Shamiram) - and provides practical information on nature, climate, altitude and other geographic details to help prepare for the adventures that await in these breathtaking locations.
To facilitate search by category and provide ease of use, Chapter 5, entitled “Yerevan Quick Guide:A Directory,” consolidates brief information about major cultural, entertainment and other services and locations covered throughout the e-guide. The searchable map allows the visitor to search for locations by category and name.
Chapter 6 offers a useful phrasebook which contains
essential vocabulary and communicative expressions
most commonly used in tourist settings.
The voice-recording of each word and phrase has been
added to help learn the correct pronunciation.
The content of the book is based on research of
publically available historical literature, academic and
professional journals, as well as touristic and
educational sources. Many individuals and organizations
have provided valuable support and guidance in the
making of this e-guide. The bibliography, an
acknowledgement note and copyright information is
listed in Chapter 7.
The publisher hopes that this interactive
tourist e-guide equips you with information and
tips to make the most of your visit to Yerevan,
one of the oldest cities in the world.
