Exploring Yerevan is an interactive travel guide (e-guide) that has been designed to help visitors make productive and enjoyable use of their time in Yerevan and its surroundings. Ranging from low-key daytrips to festive cultural and social events, the e-guide offers a diversity of programs and an ease of use for all.
Videos, introductory virtual tours, picture galleries, 3D and panoramic images, appealing stories about the city, interactive maps, and much more have been used to add to the presentation of the city and its surrounding areas. The e-guide is packed with a wealth of historical, social and demographic information which also makes this the perfect reference for those who simply want to learn about the city by taking a trip through their mind.
Chapter 1, “History of Yerevan,” offers a virtual tour into the historical past of the city. Packed with rich background information, it is important for understanding and appreciating the story and culture of the present-day city and its surrounding areas.
Chapter 2, entitled “Yerevan Basics: Welcome to Yerevan,” includes the fundamental information every traveler needs to know prior to the trip and after arrival. From getting a visa and important country facts to transportation and cultural events, it contains all the basic survival and practical information one needs to know when visiting a foreign country.
See the city in all its beauty in Chapter 3, “Tours of Yerevan and the Surroundings.” The chapter aims to organize the visitor’s time in the area through six major tours, three of which are within the city and the remaining three in the surrounding areas. Those with limited time in the area can follow the suggestions and allocate one day to each tour, while those with an extended stay can allow for more time to explore the area.
