It then evolved into the Willerby Camera Club in 1985. With a mixed membership that usually hovers between 30 - 40, we are a friendly bunch and welcome all new members or anyone that would just like to come along. For many years the Willerby Camera Club have been one of the premier audio-visual producers in the region. Originally producing slide sequences, thanks to the National Lottery Awards for All scheme, the Wcc can now move from 20th century technology into todays high tech world. We now create sequences using the superb PicturesToExe software and with this new easy to use creative technology, we can expand our activities into the community and improve our photogaphic skills at the same time. We meet Wednesday evenings at 7.15 till 9pm at Wolfreton School, South Ella Way, Kirk Ella, Hull. Crwst Camera Club Crwst is a small friendly camera club based in the historical market town of LLanrwst at the heart of the Conwy valley, North Wales. It started life as a cine club over 40 years ago with notable national success. We have had AV competitions when slides were the medium, but after receiving a lottery grant, a digital projector has been purchased and most members are now moving into digital. AV is just part of the wide range of use that the projector is put to and the members wanted to resurrect the AV competition. A total of 10 AV's where entered of varying length and subject matter; travel, landscape, wild life and a club outing to Blists Hill, Ironbridge. Jill K. Bunting was invited to judge the first digital AV competition; we had an excelent evening with Jill giving us pointers on the finer art of AV. The results were 1st - Bayeaux by Gwynn Griffiths; 2nd - Maldives by Ian Hutchinson and 3rd - WWW by Ian Hutchinson. We meet on a Wednesday evening at the Guide Hall, Pen y Bryn, Llanwrst from September to March and all are welcome. Contact Wynn Owen or our Secretary, Pauline Williams Page 39
