AV News 193 - August 2013 · By 'grabbing' a corner you can scale the image. The image will scale symmetrically around the centre point. So, having decided to make a show in 16:9 format so that you can show it on your wide screen TV, you can now scale and crop all your 3:2 images, straight from the camera, so that they fill the screen. · To move the image, click and drag the image. · If you take the cursor just off a corner box, you will see the cursor change and you can now rotate the image. So now you can make sure that your horizons are level. Incidentally the image will rotate around the centre point. However, you can move the centre point if you need to. You just hold down the key while you grab and move the centre point to where you need it. · If you want to stretch the image, then grab a side and hold the key down while you drag an edge. It is likely that you will need a bit more space around the image to see what you are doing. By default the image virtually fills the image panel because the magnification is set to 'Auto'. The size of the image in the panel can be set, however, either by using the pull-down which allows anything from 500% to 10% magnification, or by typing a value directly into the 'box'. By choosing a smaller value the image size will reduce in the panel and you will see more space round your image and be able to grab and manipulate the image more easily. Page 49
