When I'm judging AVs, I look for structure in a sequence, with development from
beginning to the end. I expect the photography to be good at all levels, and I
particularly listen to the soundtrack. Is the music appropriate to the sequence and
do the images change in sympathy with it? If there is a voice-over, how is it written
and delivered? Perhaps most importantly, is the idea a good one and does it come
across? I particularly enjoy sequences with artistic elements such as third images.
