AV News 201 - August 2015
He demonstrated PicturesToExe 8 using the preparation of sound including
voiceover, music and
sound effects and images
including manipulation to
achieve visual effects for
an AV on Tombstone,
that notorious town which
played host to 'Gunfight
at the O.K. Corral'.
He also uses Adobe
Audition for sound editing
but thought that PTE was
quickly catching up.
This was followed by a showing of Ron's latest production 'A Hit or a Myth'
(the show which was the result of the afternoon's demonstration) and a short
discussion with the audience on the merits and failings of the AV.
The benefits of using a USB mic were mentioned, and the emphasis of a
proper file and contents structure for each project was highlighted time and
again.
The afternoon concluded with a short presentation on where we go from
here, will it be the use of drones to achieve our images, time-lapse
photography or the inclusion of more video. Only time will tell.
The next Snods Edge meeting is on 10th October (sooner than usual).
Our afternoon speakers are Howard and Suzanne Gregory. There will be
a section on sound issues - recording problems, file types, copyright and
licensing to name a few, plus showing and discussing some of their
sequences. We hope to see you there.
