Most photographers already know that their own camera lenses are very
good, and that most modern computations are generally excellent. However
all lenses suffer certain aberrations, even the most expensive ones from
respected manufacturers. Often the most noticeable geometric problem is
barrel distortion especially noticeable with a wide angle lens, and more
especially with a wide angle zoom lens containing many elements.
