AV News 174 - November 2008
I needn't have worried. As one rather shy lady said to me, 'This is the friendliest
Festival we have attended' I nodded in agreement. However, I think she had
finally relaxed sufficiently to enter into the 'buzz' that always accompanies
these events. Only by being there can you catch this enthusiasm. It was a
super event - if you missed it, you really must come next time!

Members of the PTE Forum
We have recent sad news that Ron Wilkinson LRPS
died early on 23rd April. He had been ill with
cancer for some time and since Christmas had a
couple of spells in hospital.
He was the first person to obtain a Licentiateship
of the Royal Photographic Society in digital AV
and despite his advanced years was always keen
to keep up-to-date with new developments in AV.
In many ways his life has things to teach us; at
eighty he was one of the first to adopt PTE and he
developed his own web site on which we could watch one of his AVs. He
made regular contributions to more than one site and communicated with
those who could use his new-found skills.
He joined the new forum in 2002 as the 8th user and wrote 1114 messages.
