AV News 184 - May 2011
Socialising is very important at
any AV event and the warm
friendly
bars
at
Sutton
Bonington will encourage you to
chat and network late into the
night.
The Sutton Bonington campus
is to be found situated on the
border of Nottinghamshire and
Leicestershire, just minutes from
the M1 junction 24 and close to
rail and air links.
The 16 hectare campus is a
superb rural retreat with plenty of room for that all important morning stroll.
We encourage you to attend this bi-annual 'National' Championship.
There is a choice of all-inclusive 2 day residential package, non-residential
packages with all the meals and projection sessions, or just individual
projection sessions. And why not submit a sequence?
It's a great feeling to see your
masterpiece projected onto such
a giant screen and get feedback
from fellow guests.
The jury for this competition
are Ian Bateman FRPS MPAGB
(chairman), Maureen Albright
ARPS
DPAGB
and Howard
Bagshaw
ARPS
DPAGB.
Following valuable feedback
we've made the pre-selection
procedure crystal clear, so
please familiarise yourself with
the appropriate rule before entering.
This venue, with the accommodation, meals, bars and projection facilities
all on one convenient site should guarantee to provide that 'Grand National'
experience. It just needs 'you' to attend.
I know that some will say its not cheap, but we have done everything
possible to reduce the costs. Although we have got the financial backing of
the RPS AV Group, we still don't want the event to make a loss. So unless you
want the 'Nationals' to return to a small, low ceiling, hot and claustrophobic
projection room, then please back the committee and book the special all
inclusive 2 day package.
Full details can be found on the website which is at: www.navc.org.uk
I look forward to welcoming you all to the 17th National Audio Visual
Championships in September.
