Increasingly I wonder where I am going with my still photography. The
successes I have enjoyed with my images over the last 35 years have
dwindled to become almost non existent. Is it my photography that has
changed? possibly, is it the advancing years? could be. My ability to keep up
with the ever changing technology in our hobby gets harder with each
anniversary. And it is here that I think the answer lies because clicking the
shutter is only the start.
Remember when you tried to get it right before clicking and hoped that
some of the 36 slides that came back were useable. Today if you don't have
the skills of a graphic designer working with all sorts of computer programs,
FORGET IT! you have no chance. A straight image (see we don't even call
them Photos anymore) has little chance of a look in. What then for someone
who can barely manage a mobile phone call?
