AV News 182 - November 2010
As reported there were 12 entry's from 7 AV workers, John commented on
each one, highlighting their good points and making suggestions on how to
improve on the weak points. As a result of his suggestions during July we had
a club AV evening and took one of the unsuccessful AV's. 'Green Door' and
showed how the addition of sound effects improved the show.
Quite a simple exercise providing you've still kept the AV project file and
not dropped it in the bin after hitting the create EXE file button.
2010 Projects
Well after the success with the Amy Elizabeth poem I was at a loss as to
what the group might try their hand at, so for 2010 it's been left to them all to
either work on their own or get together and form small groups.
Some ideas were suggested Water-Sky-Poem-Song-Humorous-Sales
Advert-Transport-Historic-Parks-Buildings-Sports.
In other words an open theme. However some rules were suggested:
Duration no more than 5 Minutes
Audio, in addition to Background Music please try and add Commentary
and Sound Effects
Have a go at producing a Third Image (which has raised many questions)
Well I think that in addition to working to produce entry's for our annual
competition (judging date 15/3/11) that our workers are having a go at the
group project. I'm sure the recent up date of PTE6 to PTE6.5 with its welcome
improvements in the audio side of the software will be a great help to most
AV workers.
