‘ Experience the unique igloo rooms, try ice sculpture, whale watching, and king crab fishing’
Sorrisniva is a resort on the banks of the Alta River, providing excellent cuisine and numerous activities. Find stylish rooms in the Wilderness Lodge and astonishing architecture within the icy walls of the Igloo Hotel. The igloo rooms feature from December to April and are rebuilt every year by local craftsmen. This is a place, year-round, aimed at outdoor, local experiences which vary according to the season, but include activities such as Northern Lights hunting, Sami and reindeer experiences, king crab fishing, husky sledding and snowmobiling, hiking in summer and snowshoe walks in winter, packrafting, whale watching, ice bathing and ice sculpting. After action-packed daytimes, local cuisine welcomes and beckons in the evenings with fine dining at the Maku restaurant or local dishes at the Lavvu, reminiscent of a Sami tent. Relaxation is provided by the spa and sauna. During the winter season, we include one night in the Igloo hotel. There are family rooms available both in the main hotel and in the Igloo hotel. We work with you to create on top of the basic arrangements a package of activities from a wide menu of what’ s available throughout the year. Some activities have an age restriction.
