Experience the magic of Christmas in the Arctic on this five-night holiday at the Lyngen Experience about two hours’ drive from Tromsø. This is a world of vast, white landscapes, snow-covered mountains and glistening fjords. It is also the world of the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights and whilst not guaranteed, the best chance to experience the spectacle of the greens and mauves of the night skies is in this region between November and March. At Lyngen, there is a full programme of Arctic winter activities for you to enjoy and perhaps experience for the first time, including a whale safari, snowshoeing, a snowmobile experience and dog sledding. The hotel will also supply you with winter clothes for outdoor use: a warm suit, shoes and mittens. Full board excluding drinks is also included here and a special 7-course Christmas Eve menu.
