This rail holiday takes you from London to Hamburg, known for the Alster and the Speicherstadt. Continue by train to Denmark’ s capital, characterised by its canals and cycling culture. Waterfront warehouses, Tivoli amusement park, and Amalienborg palace are all highlights here in Copenhagen. The rail journey to Oslo takes you over the Øresund Bridge. Norway’ s capital is a relaxed city, where heritage and modernity sit comfortably together. A visit to the Bygdøy peninsula is essential. From Oslo continue by train for the journey to Stockholm, located on an extensive Baltic Sea archipelago with ferries and sightseeing boats shuttling passengers between the islands. Stockholm hosts excellent museums such as the Vasa museum, the National Museum, the Museum of History, the Medieval museum and the Nordic museum. In between, enjoy the grand buildings and boulevards, and the quaint streets of the Gamla Stan( old town). The elegant city of Hannover makes a fitting place for the overnight stop on the way back to London.
