Navigation industry players are shifting their focus in line with market dynamics as global end-user preference drives the market toward af ¬ fordable automotive navigation which is fully integrated with smartphone functionalities.
One of the companies leading these new market dynamics is NNG, which develops and produces its iGO Navigation solutions for automotive and wireless installations. In the next three years the company aims at reaching a 40 % market share in the automotive industry.

Since the launch of its first international product in 2006, NNG has formed partnerships with over 150 manufacturers worldwide, providing hardware and automotive manufacturers, network operators, professional suppliers, and individual users with innovative and reliable navigation solutions. In 2012 NNG marked its presence among navigation providers, surpassing 20 million shipped licenses. Despite the declining global demand for Portable Navigation Devices( PND), the company has maintained its legacy revenues from consumer markets, with a strong focus on the automotive industry.
The company saw an increase in year on year revenue of 44 % in the first half of 2012. The upward trend is connected to NNG’ s rise in the automotive industry, which now accounts for 80 % of its business. NNG prides itself on its role as a leading navigation solutions provider for Tier1 automotive suppliers and car makers around the world. Seven of the biggest auto brands already use navigation solutions running on the iGO Navigation
Engine in their infotainment units.“ NNG’ s success is driven by continuous development and by our demonstrated capacity to quickly and efficiently provide original innovation on a global scale,” says Péter Balogh, CEO and Co-Founder of NNG. To achieve this goal, NNG works with a global one-technology concept, which enables a single core engine to power solutions anywhere in the world. At the same time, the software enables HMI localization from the User Interface( UI) language all the way to the menu structure and search mechanism. Working with over 140 global and local content providers, independent software provider NNG is able to offer its iGO Navigation solutions for more than 130 countries in 46 different languages. The content selection ranges from traditional and community country maps to safety camera databases, traffic and fuel prices.
