In response to overwhelming concerns highlighted in the parent surveys about the safety and well-being of autistic people with complex needs, Autism Connection of Pennsylvania is hosting a comprehensive Safety Expo in concert with the Jefferson Center for Autism and Neurodiversity, Philadelphia.
These surveys—focused on children, teenagers, and adults—revealed consistent fears related to wandering, self-injury, aggression, and the urgent need for long-term supervision and trained caregivers. The Safety Expo aims to address these persistent challenges by providing families, caregivers, and professionals with practical resources, tools, and expert guidance on creating safer environments across the lifespan.
Autism Connection of PA's First-Ever Safety Expo
By turning data into action, the Autism Connection of Pennsylvania's Safety Expo reflects a community-driven commitment to enhancing safety, support, and peace of mind for people with profound autism and those who care for them.
