DAY 1 Brisbane / Moreton Island
Make your way to the Tangalooma Wharf on Holt Street in Brisbane for the relaxing 75 minute ferry ride across to Moreton Island . Transfer to the Tangalooma Island Resort and once settled in , the rest of the day is yours . Moreton is the world ’ s third largest sand island and home to amazing natural flora and fauna , so switch yourself to island time and get ready for adventure , discovery and more than a little fun . The star attraction at the resort is the unique guest activity of hand feeding a pod of wild bottlenose dolphins that visit the shores each evening at sunset .
DAY 2 Moreton Island
At leisure to try your hand at some of the resort activities , many of which are free , including tennis , squash , pelican feeding , Old Whaling Station tours , kookaburra feeding and learning all about the Tangalooma wild dolphins with an Eco Ranger . Further water and land based options are available at a supplement , such as kayak hire , marine discovery cruises , parasailing , sea scooter safaris , snorkelling the famed Tangalooma wrecks , helicopter scenic flights and segway beach tours to name but a few . Be sure to set some time aside to explore the island itself where highlights include Big and Little Sandhills , the Blue Lagoon , Cape Moreton Lighthouse and Mount Tempest , the highest coastal sand dune in the world .
DAY 3 Moreton Island / Brisbane
If time allows , fit in another activity before you transfer back to Brisbane by ferry , where the tour concludes .
