Justin Miller
Running Back Justin Miller
sped his way into the
record books on Oct 30th,
during Crockett’s game
vs Bastrop. The Cougar
senior broke AISD’s all
time rushing record when
he reached 4,055 career
yards, passing up
Anderson’s Paul Mosley.
At the time of this
publication Crockett is
still fighting for a playoff
spot. They need to beat
Reagan and for Travis to
lose in the complicated
race for the fourth District
26-5A playoff spot.
Barring any unforeseen
circumstances, it looks
like he will be able to
extend that record by a
few more yards during the
final game of the regular
season. Miller has
averaged 195 yards per
game this year.

Perfect
Season
Led by Coach Maura
Cosgrove, Ann Richards’
volleyball team finished
the District 26-5A season
with a perfect 18-0 record.
Last year the Stars were
within 1 game of having
an undefeated season but
a loss to Crockett
canceled that. That year
they took on Vista Ridge
in the first round of the
playoffs and came up
short. When the 2014
playoffs were announced,
they were once again set
to face Vista Ridge. The
girls played valiantly but
fell short for the second
year in a row. Coach
Cosgrove spoke
afterwards about their
loss and the performance
of the girls. “Our perfect
season has come to an
end. However, It is going
to continue to be perfect.
These girls exceeded
every expectation. 18-0 in
district, 32-6 overall. Can't
do much better. From
them everyone can learn
that hard work, heart,
teamwork and
determination pays off. No
matter what the battle, these
girls stepped up with clear
eyes. Our parents and fans
are absolutely the best. No
challenge is too big. These
girls will go on to change the
world! And I will be their
biggest fan! Star Strong”
We are proud of ARS and
their amazing season.
