The Impact of Religion on complete College Success from Historically Black
Colleges and Universities
Cornelius Spearman, Dr. Kwame Dankwa
Political Science and history, Albany State University, Albany, GA
The college years are seen to represent a time of intellectual exploration and uncertainty for
students, where long held beliefs are sometimes challenged. Some people have stated that it
becomes more difficult for students to reconcile their religious beliefs with the call to critical
thinking. Studies show that most people between the ages of 18-24 are still trying to find
themselves and their life purpose. Many people fall back on their faith and belief as comfort
for their life problems; however, it is a proven fact that many students are introduced to many
new things directly upon entering their dormitory. With college being a place where students
encounter diverse people and problems, is it possible that their religion affects their academics
and involvement with extracurricular activities on college campus? The issue this study seeks
to resolve, therefore, is the impact of religion on complete success from students attending
Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Morgan Stokes, Dr. Sandra Washington
Healthcare Management, Albany State University, Albany, GA
Advertising is a very broad field. The words advertise means to describe or draw attention to a
product, service, or event in a public medium in order to promote sales or attendance. There
are many different ways to advertise such as online, newspaper ads, radio, public speaking,
flyers, brochures, and social media. The focus point of the research project is a commercial
advertisement on a television network. The project will explain how commercials are made
and how target audiences are chosen. The research project will also provide some in-depth
background of commercial advertisement. The project will also provide some history of how
commercial and advertising originated. In addition, the project will demonstrate how changes
in commercials evolved over the past few years. The project revolves around a commercial
sponsored by Geico; a well-known car
