Marketing & Promotions : Rachel Duenow Absent . Updating the Champ Show information and working on Sponsorship plans . A yearlong Sponsorship platform will be rolled out in 2023 . Working on WSCF things as well . Rachel will review design from Northwest Designs Ink for the Champ Show apparel . Ann recommended we should get the horse welfare statement more visible , such as on our website and post information at shows .

Nominating : Kevin Berger There are four seats up for election this year . If you know of anyone that might be interested , please reach out to them or have them get in touch with Kevin or Ann .

Procedures : Sandy Strube Presented the Marketing & Promotion Procedure with the Sponsorship and Spotlight subcommittees with noted changes . Motion made by James Duenow , seconded by Julie Gintner to approve the recommended changes for the WSCA Marketing & Promotions Procedure , subject to punctuation audit . Motion carried unanimously .

Updating on the Royalty Procedure and there will be many changes .

Publicity : Lori Taylor : Absent . All four of the Royalty Court attended the WSCF show . Working on getting donations for the Royalty Show . Handing out forms for Sponsorships . There are parades coming up that the Royalty will attend . Will reach out to the people that are sponsoring and see if they have opportunities to take pictures with them .

Royalty : Bridget Behrns Absent . The necessary forms are in place regarding the Royalty contest . We are one month away from the application deadline . Will work with Rachel to stay on top of posts on Facebook to advertise the contest . The WSCA Royalty Banquet will be held on Friday August 12 ^th at the the Mermaid in Mounds View . There is a block of rooms held under WSCA , AmericInn by Wyndham . If you are attending the Royalty banquet and plan to spend the night make the reservation under that block for the discounted rate .

Rulebook : Cindy Ladd Absent . Working on sending out Rule Books to the clubs .

Safety Committee : Corey Swartout Absent . Nothing to report .

Scholarship : Julie Gintner There are 11 applicants , 3 previous graduates and 8 new graduates . Will come to August Board Meeting with recommendations .

Spotlight : James Duenow Working on new website , not really working on updating the old site at this time . There are a few people that are not happy about the digital Spotlight , so we are mailing the OnDeck section to a few individuals .

Working on the advertising and marketing of the Sponsorships . Old Business : Will be ordering buckles ( Molly ’ s Custom Silver ) and halters ( Teskey ’ s ) for yearend awards . New Business :

Lynn put a sample document retention and destruction policy together of which has been reviewed by an attorney . Lynn asked the Board to review for future discussion . .

There should be a procedure developed for a stalls committee , for the stalls owned by WSCA . There will be a workforce needed , hauling needs to be arranged , equipment needed such as a forklift , and liability insurance put into place . Stalls will be set up the week of September 10 ^th , for the MN State 4H show .
