This beautiful summer is only half over and there are still more fun things to do in Charbonneau . Read on for the various activities and events in and around Charbonneau and

Save the date : Community Information Day & Raffle
All Charbonneau residents are invited to attend the annual Charbonneau Newcomers Welcome and Community Information Day on Wednesday , Sept . 6 , from 5-7 p . m . in the Clubhouse . Newcomers living in Charbonneau less than a year have been invited to attend a short informational presentation by the Board of Directors about life in Charbonneau at 4:30 p . m . in the Pavilion .
At 5 p . m . newcomers will join their neighbors in the Clubhouse for Community Information Day . This annual event provides residents with information from local businesses , community service providers , volunteer organizations and social groups all under one roof .
We will also raffle off gift baskets donated by the many vendors . Vendors will hand out one double raffle ticket to each resident who visits their table . Keep one of the tickets and put the matching tickets into containers in front of the raffle prizes you like . Make sure to visit every vendor to increase your chances of winning !
Iced tea , soft drinks and water will be provided . And all adult guests will receive a scrip for one free glass of wine . Wine will also be available for purchase . Don ’ t miss this annual event !

Portland Spirit Lunch Cruise on Saturday , Aug . 5
Join me for the Portland Spirit Lunch Cruise on Saturday , Aug . 5 . We will be boarding at the Salmon Springs Dock in downtown Portland at 11 a . m . sharp and cruising aboard the Portland Spirit from 11:30 a . m . -1:30 p . m .
The two-hour cruise on the Willamette River includes fresh-baked focaccia bread , plated entrees selected by each guest on board , fountain sodas , hot / iced teas and coffee , live piano

music and captain ’ s narration on the outer deck . Appetizers , desserts and beverages from their full-service bar are available for purchase on board .
Residents will need to provide their own transportation to the Salmon Springs Dock and back so carpooling is greatly encouraged .

Don ’ t miss this one ! Hot Charbonneau Nights Classic Car Show & BBQ
The Hot Charbonneau Nights Classic Car Show and BBQ is a great way to spend a summer evening !
On Saturday , Aug . 26 , at 5 p . m ., the parking lot in front of the Clubhouse and Activity Center will transform into a car lover ’ s paradise as it plays host to the Hot Charbonneau Nights Classic Car Show . Hotrods , gassers and woodies will be on display for your perusal .
The car show is free but the cost for dinner is $ 10 . You ’ ll get burgers and hot dogs barbecued by the Charbonneau Board of Directors ! Dessert too ! So don ’ t forget to bring your dinner ticket if you want to feast .
This is a BYOB event so bring the beverage of your choice . You may also purchase libations from the Market Café .
Tickets go on sale Tuesday , Aug . 1 , at 10 a . m . in the Activity Center Library .
Hands to Heart Quilt Display & Textile Fair
Stitches , an active Charbonneau group of textile hobbyists , is hosting a one-day event on Friday , Aug . 11 , from 10 a . m . to 3 p . m . The display and fair will be held at Charbonneau Village Homeowners Association at the newly-renovated recreation site .

Pink Ball silent auction items can be dropped off at the Activity Center library on Saturday , Aug . 19 between 10 a . m . and 2 p . m . Wilsonville Food Bank collections - Wednesday , Aug . 23
Volunteers for the Wilsonville Food Bank will be collecting donations on Wednesday , August 23 from 8:30 a . m . to 1 p . m . in the Activity Center .
