BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING June 3, 2026 7 PM American Legion, Chaska, MN MINUTES
Board Members Present: Lynn-Ellen St. Martin, Paul Hansen, Dustin Heck, James Duenow, Julia Northwick, Julie Gintner, Courtney Betsch
Members Absent: Karson Duncanson, Darcy Berget, Lori Taylor, Keith Sather
Other members and visitors: Sara Schwartz( Parliamentarian / Wissota ApHC), Marlys Mooney( Drills & Squares / Buffalo SC), Kristi VanCamp( WSCA Queen / Ms. Congeniality / Bit & Bridle Saddle Club), Hilary Vetse( WSCA Princess / Storm Quarter Horses)
Meeting was called to order by Lynn-Ellen St. Martin at 7 PM Public Open Comment: None Secretary’ s Report: Liz Bauer
A motion was made by James Duenow, seconded by Lori Taylor, to approve the May 6, 2026 meeting minutes. Motion carried unanimously.

Balance Sheet and Income Statement was presented; YTD Net Income( Loss) is($ 17,924.29). LYTD was($ 8,443.91). It was noted when comparing to last year, we had judges dues turned in, as they are only due every 3 years and more sponsorships were deposited. The workman’ s comp audit has been completed by Mandy, she is just waiting for the final letter.
A motion was made by Dustin Heck, seconded by Julia Northwick to approve the May 31, 2026 Treasurers Report, subject to audit. Motion carried unanimously.
Correspondence: 2026 memberships received to date is 187 clubs, and last year we were also at 187 clubs.
Committee Reports:
Awards Banquet: Julia Northwick Nothing new to report.
Championship Horse Show: James Duenow
The committee has been working on the Champ Show Special Edition of the Spotlight. James will be having a final meeting with State Fair. After reviewing the updates to the coliseum, it was found that vendor space has changed slightly. Vendor applications are coming in and tracking good so far. Reminder that Food vendors have to be approved by State Fair. It was shared that Sheri Cervi youth Championships will overlap with Champ show this year due to the Ruby Buckle.
