it was not a feeling that he was simply putting on a show, he really enjoyed himself and imparted that good feeling to the audience.
Whilst on the island, Walshy Fire was also introduced to Kaya - Seggae Man, which he loved. “I put out a lot of dancehall and reggae music right now. I started on something called ReggaeVival, I’m going to really start pushing reggae music through that label, that’s why I would love to meet Seggae artists. Listening to that beat - it totally translates to my side of the world. Why has no one heard about this? It is not anyone’s fault, maybe because of the language barrier, but even some of those songs were in English. When I look at what my job is, or what I’m here to do - my purpose - I look at Seggae, and I look at the bridge that needs to be built between Seggae and the world. I consider myself the person that can help build that bridge.”
Since this event, he has teamed up with Reggaeville.com to present the ReggaeVival mixtape series which will showcase up and coming reggae artists. In 2018, you can expect to hear more Reggae from Walshy Fire and perhaps even Seggae music being enjoyed across more of the world. Yeah man!
