from a movie I may have watched or something I heard on the news, or a book I read.

What tips & advice would you have for anyone who would want to get into the music industry?

I’d tell them to continue to practice and work on your craft. Improve on everything. Social media is now a platform for you to showcase your talent and your dream. What better way to utilise it by putting yourself out there. Make sure you stay true to yourself and be inspired by others. But also showcase you and in the end you’ll probably find that you’ll get the results.

Everything is digital now, is it hard to get out there?

There are pros and cons of it, when you do post things, it does get the right attention, it’s just how you promote yourself. But at the same time, everybody uses that as a platform to get themselves out there, so that’s a con, but there are a lot of pros form it. It’s easier to use the internet and social media nowadays, it’s becomes the norm, part of the whole music culture.

What was it like writing the storyboards for your videos?

I worked closely with my manager as he helped direct the videos, and the two guys, Rob & Ian are a duo called round House Pictures. Definitely, its something I used to do as a child before started to do music, I was always acting and dancing. Acting was the main thing I did, I did quite a lot of stage plays and a few short films here and there as a child. Even when I was in a girl group, we got asked to do some things as well. So I definitely feel i can jump into the acting side.

What are you favourite tracks?

I like all music, I don’t limit myself with genre. At the moment I listen to a singer, Arma Patel from New Zealand, she’s a soul singer. She reminds me of a more RnB version of Amy Winehouse with her sound. She’s really good, the way she writes her songs and her music I can relate to it. She taps into being a woman in this world, so I enjoy it. My favourite song of hers is “I’m not the same”. I’m also listening to Jagged Edge, they’ve got a new album out and they’ve got a slow song called “hope” it reminds me of the old slow jams and the tempo.

What does music mean to you?

I know a lot of artist say this, but it
