and how to identify, avoid and react to potential threats. This course
will also cover how to defend yourself in the event of an attack and

School Districts Open Swim program! Program takes place at the
Avondale High School pool. $4 per person/non-resident. Under 14
must be accompanied by an adult.

CPR/First Aid Courses
Learn valuable life saving skills that you could use to help a friend
or family member by taking a CPR or First Aid course taught by an
instructor from the Auburn Hills Fire Department. Courses are three
hours in length and include American Heart Association certification
card. All classes are held at the Public Safety Building in the Civic
Center Park Complex. Meet in the lobby. Limited to 10 participants/
must have minimum of 5 to run class. Class fees: $5 - residents / $30 –
non-residents. All classes run from 9 a.m.-12 p.m..

One of the most fascinating new programs to come along in sometime,
Growing Up WILD, is capturing little one’s interest. Everyone is invited to
bring their own stuffed Teddy Bear or other favorite stuffed animal. You

Wild Game Dinner for the Family
Be our guests as volunteers from Safari Club International prepares a
cookout dinner for your family. Venison chili along with a variety of wild
game and Michigan’s winter squash along with ice cream and berry pies.

Pond Ice Investigations
We will hike out to the pond to investigating the ice thickness, water
temps along with hunting for animal tracks. We will finish the day with
some hot chocolate.
