Knot Magick
Knot magick was once a favorite amongst sailors who would purchase decoratively knotted ropes. Each knot was created to contain wind. Should they be becalmed at sea they could untie the knot and release the wind. Today we tie knots in cord to store power and energy. The knots may seal power or create protection. A pretty cord with knots tied in it makes a lovely necklace that gives the wearer confidence, the power of attraction or physical healing, for example. A thread tied around a doorknob may protect a house, bring prosperity to the house or cause the house to sell quickly.
Choose a cord based on your preference. Some people prefer a natural hemp, while others choose their cord based on color and appearance. The color of your cord may denote the type of energy you are creating and storing. For instance, black for protection, blue or yellow for confidence or green for health and prosperity. Red is good for love and attraction. When you tie each knot, raise the energy you want to store, focus on the knot and direct the energy to be held within the knot.
