Can you describe a typical day in your life?
Aside from my projects I am a full-time caregiver for my dad. He is eighty-eight with Alzheimer’s, and suffers from macular degeneration resulting from his diabetes. He actually does pretty well overall, but because of his blindness and memory issues he needs to be supervised. Starting early in the morning I write and work on my current project, which at this time is the Tarot of the Night. Usually in the middle of the afternoon, or thereabouts, I set it aside and work on another project until late evening. I have several other projects at hand, but as of now I am devoting my available time to a fictional story I am writing entitled Destiny in Time.
When did you become interested in Tarot?
I had occasional exposure to it over the course of my life, but it didn’t really take hold until I married a woman with a very strong interest in it. I wanted so much to share in her interests I began to study the Tarot thoroughly, and once she gave me a copy of Pamela Colman Smith’s deck I was hooked. Although the woman and I have since divorced the passion I feel for the Tarot has remained within me.
