Totally unrelated to Tarot, but deeply related to the esoteric world of magic, is J.K. Rowling’s new website, http://www.pottermore.com/. I am so excited that it crossed my path! Interactive by nature, it takes you deeply into the wizarding world! Enjoy!

I am reading a couple of books right now that I don’t intend to review, but that I think are interesting.

The first one is “The Tales of Beedle the Bard”, by J.K. Rowling

It is based, of course, on the wizarding world of Harry Potter. It was translated from the Ancient Runes by Hermione Granger, with commentary by Albus Dumbledore, and introduction, notes, and illustrations by J.K. Rowling. It is interesting to note that all proceeds from this book go to the Children’s High Level Group, a registered children’s charity. The book consists of five wizarding children’s tales (“The Wizard and the Hopping Pot”, The Fountain of Fair Fortune”, “The Warlock’s Hairy Heart”, “Babbity Rabbbity and Her Cackling Stump”,and “The Tale of the Three Brothers”). The commentary by Albus Dumbledore helps to place the material into the context of 16th century Muggle society, along with historical back stories. It is a great read, and a wonderful off shoot of the Harry Potter series. Kudos to J.K. Rowling!
