Is your program outdated? Do you need to update, or perhaps overhaul?

We are not like our machines, in that we can't wipe the hard-drive and start fresh.

We are stuck with our history, trailing along behind us like misbegotten ducklings. We can, however, start creating new histories with our present actions. This point of the present is the place where we can seize the initiative to change, and each action builds up new programming to replace and override the old.

When we experience the strongest impulses toward change is the best time to initiate an action that supports the desired change, and start building the connections that will eventually form the framework for the new reality. The strongest perception of contrasts between positive desired results and negative stagnant patterns creates the pressure to make a move.

The gap between the way things have been and the desirable outcome may seem daunting- an abyss that can only be crossed with heroic effort, but- the truth is that each change begins with an infinitesimal movement of ions across a synaptic gap. The merest whisper of a thought sheds electrons and opens channels for potential action. The heart beats a bit faster, and before the thought is even completed, the impetus gathers and launches itself toward waiting receptors to carry the impulse forward. This is the place to seize the moment, and make your move.

It doesn't have to be fireworks and drama. It doesn't need to manifest in any outwardly visible way- at least, not at first. What is necessary is the forming of new connections that will cause a course correction over time. Strong and sudden changes of direction can be like tacking into the wind.
