Initiating Lasting Change
Are you completely satisfied with your life?
No?
Welcome to the club.
Most people want to change things in their lives, even if in just a few areas.
Many would change nearly everything.
So, what's done is done. In spite of all the theories that say you can revise the past, it's all behind you now. The difference between wishful thinking and delusion is knowing what has actually happened. You certainly can change your interpretation of past events, and use the new perspective you gain as a way to guide your future changes.
The main usefulness I have found in recalling past events is that they can help us spot our patterns, and give us a bit of perspective in navigating the maze we find ourselves immersed in. You must be honest with yourself to do so and derive any benefit from it.
