Dear Wendy: I left college 49 years ago, but recently I have been having dreams where I am back at my old school. They are all fairly similar. I remember it perfectly. It is just as I left it. The feeling is not comfortable. I feel very stressed and down and the days seem endless. When I left college, I had no job to go to. It was a very difficult time for me and I made some bad decisions. Can you enlighten me please? F

Dear F: You have recently been feeling in a similar way to how you felt then; stressed, depressed, a little hopeless perhaps, with nothing to look forward to. You might be considering a major move or other change but the thought of the misguided decisions of the past loom on the horizon. What is it you needed then that you did not receive? Good advice, support, opportunities? Use the affirmation: I can seek help for my needs. Meditate on a time in your life when you were powerful and happy.

Dear Wendy: I keep dreaming about my teeth. Sometimes they are black with holes in them, other times they are falling out. I have visited the dentist. He said the dreams are because I am coming to terms with getting older and am still single. I am 39 years old and in good health. RE

Dear RE: The dreamer is always an expert on their dreams, and if someone gives you an interpretation that does not feel right, then it should be rejected. In the older dream dictionaries, teeth were described as our best friends, and when we lost a friend, we would dream of a tooth falling out. Dreams of teeth are also often related to one’s ‘bite’, the power and capacity to chew over and digest what is going on around us, without which, we are not processing what needs attention. However, yes, this dream could be related to appearance and the importance of loos (especially for a woman, and a single woman who might be seeking a partner where looks might be important).
