The definition of a confidence trick is this:

Confidence trick (synonyms include confidence scheme and scam) is

an attempt to defraud a person or group after first gaining their

confidence, in the classical sense of. A confidence artist (or con artist)

is an individual, operating alone or in concert with others, who exploits

characteristics of the human psyche such as dishonesty, honesty, vanity,

compassion, credulity, irresponsibility, naiveté, or greed.

The purpose is try to find or create a need. It does not matter at all if it

is real or imagined. They are armed and ready to sell you a solution. Think

back to the dark ages when we had huge stereos. Back then you could buy

speakers or you could buy systems. Both the same but the fancy wording costs more. Notice the difference between an apartment, condo, and a town house? Not much difference but the wording and the price tag.

Some things are implied...If we buy their products or program and follow their strict instructions with religious determination, we will find true value in the eyes of our society. Our mate will find us irresistible and never leave us. Our children will love us if we use the correct laundry detergent. They will also sing our praises if we provide the best chemical infused high fat snack food that goes from the freezer to the table in three minutes for after school snacks. The “Magickal Key” they offer allows us to bypass effort, commitment, and discomfort. This “Magickal Key” promises you can painlessly and without inconvenience immediately achieve validity, credibility, sexual desire, the sexual stamina of a 20 year old, social recognition, peace of mind, safety, popularity, and depending when you watch TV, admittance into Heaven with acceptance by God Himself
