Peter Berryman President
Among his many achievements Chris was the Director of SelfWise Healing and founder of the SelfWise Healing Sessions and the HealthWise Retreats , where his clients – devotees , really – could learn and practise his unique blend of breathwork , meditations , healthy nutrition , exercise , natural therapies , music and sound , polarity yoga , Tai Chi and Qi Gong moving and mindfulness . He wanted to help us rediscover the natural wisdom and healing potential that is within each of us . He was a holist , writing that “ Good health and healing must combine all aspects of our being ”. His approach to health was based on selfawareness and sustainability : planetary stewardship was a high priority for Chris . He maintained that personal health practices , just like practices of nurturing our planet , are necessary and common sense . Practices that are worthwhile must also be sustainable .
Chris served as President of the Australian Polarity Therapy Association for several years , and was a member of the International Polarity Education Alliance and Tai Chi Association Australia . He was a highly respected teacher of meditation , Tai Chi and Qi Gong , Yoga and Polarity Therapy . Chris was also an influential writer , the author of SelfWise – Tools for the Journey and Sustainable Health Choices . He lived and practised in many parts of Eastern Australia over a fruitful and rewarding career . His journey in natural therapies began on his farm on the north coast of NSW , and at various times he practised in Katoomba , Avalon , Manyana , Pittwater , the Sunshine Coast and North- Eastern Tasmania . His footprint was indeed wide and deep .
On behalf of ATMS we extend our sympathy to Ruby and family .
