NEWS & EVENTS KICK-OFF MEETING In early February, we held our annual kick off meeting with all staff members and agents in attendance. Diane Paloma, CEO of Lunalilo Home and Trust, did a fantastic job of helping us establish our core values in relation to achieving our ambitious 2020 goals. She also discussed how each member of the company plays an integral role in helping Atlas create a lasting and meaningful impact on the Hawaii community and our clients. WHAT’S GOING ON AT ATLAS EPIC END-OF-YEAR NETWORKING To wrap up 2019, our EPIC (Encouraging Professionals, Inspiring Collaboration) Group, a professional development group for Atlas employees, hosted an end-of-year networking event at Bar 35 in downtown Honolulu. EPIC members were encouraged to invite their peers in the community for a night of mingling, pupus, and raffle prizes. BEST PLACES TO WORK CELEBRATION ATLAS HOLIDAY PARTY 2019 We closed the office for a half day to celebrate our annual Holiday Party! This year’s party was hosted at the Kahala Hotel with a Great Gatsby/ Casino Night. Our staff had a blast with a beautiful venue, fun activities, and incredible door prizes. The Casino Night was a huge hit with staff as many enjoyed themselves, and there was even a prize for best-dressed male and female! We wanted to thank our staff for an amazing year and making us a Best Place to Work for the 11th year in row! We recognized each staff member with a breakfast bento and a special surprise of an air plant terrascape designed by Momo Terrascapes. We are committed to our efforts of offering our employees a fun, healthy, and supportive workplace culture! HAWAII HOMEOWNERSHIP CENTER FLAVOR OF NEIGHBORS Our personal lines team attended the Hawaii Homeownership Center Flavor of Neighbors event for a great night of food, drinks, networking, and supporting the Hawaii Homeownership Center. Their mission is to provide education, information, and support to create successful first-time homeowners in Hawaii. By addressing barriers and increasing rates of home ownership, the Homeownership Center aims to build stronger families and communities throughout the state of Hawaii. 5
