ELECTION OF COMMITTEE
MEMBERS
Jayshree Mangubhai
Beth Sargent
Jayshree is a Senior Human Rights
Adviser with the Secretariat of the Pacific
Community. She has over 15 years of
experience working in the human rights
and development sectors in India and
across South Asia, and previously held
the position of Policy and Advocacy
Officer, South Asia with Christian Aid.
Beth has over 14 years experience
working in international aid and
development and public policy. Most
recently, Beth worked as Head of
Policy and Advocacy at ACFID. Beth
has a MA in Applied Anthropology and
Participatory Development and a
BA in Arts and Public Policy.
Judith Ascroft
Sunita Varlamos
Judith is a senior executive with
expertise in international development
and public health. Judith is currently
an independent consultant and most
recently has been Team Leader of a
major DFAT initiative in Indonesia and
the CEO of Nossal Institute Limited,
University of Melbourne.
Sunita has held senior management
roles and led projects with community
organisations in both Australia and
South East Asia. Sunita currently works
at Save the Children Australia in the
area of Corporate Engagement and
Volunteer Management.
Brigid Mulcahy, Dione Brooks,
Judith Ascroft, Beth Sargent,
Amanda Scothern, Tim Chapman,
Nimarta Khuman and Philippa Sholl
have completed their terms in office.
They have all offered themselves for
re-election to the Committee.
BUSINESS OF MEETING
1. To approve the minutes of the
previous annual general meeting;
2. To receive from the Committee any
reports on the transactions of the
association during the preceding
financial year, prepared for this
purpose;
3. To receive and consider the
statement submitted by the
association in accordance with
section 30(3) of the Act; and
4. To appoint members to the
Committee, if applicable under
rule 11.2(d).

Nimarta Khuman
Lin Sun (Finance Manager)
Nimarta has ten years of experience in
technical, coordination and management
roles in international development and
humanitarian relief. Nimarta’s experience
extends across health, governance,
microfinance and gender; working with
NGOs, government and private sector.
She has worked on global programming
with a focus on East and South Asia and
is currently a consultant in the sector.
Lin is Finance Manager at Live &
Learn Environmental Education and
is a member of CPA Australia. She
has a Masters of Business and 9 years
experience in the finance and
not-for-profit sector.
