TIME FOR WORK! On the same day, the teams had gotten ready to get their hands dirty and rough, and they headed down to the work site. They used traditional tools such shovels and hoes to work on a piece of empty land. They transported hundreds of kilograms of rubble and rock piles to the work site everyday and laid in the foundations. Many blisters were grown out of digging the flat piece of land, and lots of skins were shed by carrying rocks. The team couldn’t complete the building, but at least, they had helped to lay in the foundations as well as building the core pillars and roof structures. To many, it was really a fruit of labour. Other than working on the construction site during the day, the team is also responsible to plan out English lessons in the evening to be taught to the kids in Cambodia. They were split into 5 different levels: Level 0 - 4. They were not separated by age, but by their standards of English. The lower levels were taught nouns and adjectives, while the higher levels were taught to improve their conversation ability. It was satisfying to all team members that all the kids applied what they’ve learnt immediately and also really inspiring to see how enthusiastic were they.
