Dr. Comfort J. Mokgothu Panelist Head & Senior Lecturer, Department of Physical Education, Health & Recreation Education, Faculty of Education. University of Botswana Comfort J. Mokgothu, PhD is a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department in the Department of Health, Physical and Recreation Education, Faculty of Education. He has been with University of Botswana since 2001. Before joining the University he worked as an Instructor in the Department of Health & Physical Activity at the University of Pittsburgh (USA) from 2003 to 2007. He has worked as a Principal Education Offi cer (PE) in the then Ministry of Education. He was a Lecturer at Molepolole and Tonota College of Education between 1996 and 1998. He received his B.Ed. Physical Education from University of Plymouth (UK) in 1996, MSc. & PhD. Physical Activity & Sports Studies from the University of Pittsburgh (USA) in 2007. As a Motor Learning & Development Specialist, his research interest involves examining relationship between physical fi tness & cognitive function especially amongst the children and youth as well as how children develop motor skills and the underlying factors. He has worked as a Program Director for Kinder Kinetics program at the University of Pittsburgh in the USA where he worked with 3 to 12 year olds with autism and Cerebral Palsy and developmental delays. He is currently an External Moderator for Tonota College of Education. He is a member of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, & Dance and the North American Society for Sport Psychology and Physical Activity.
