ASPC Update May 2022 | Page 3

But during this time of constant change and uncertainty :
• The hosts of the Tokyo 2022 and Bejing 2023 delivered highly successful Olympic and Paralympic Games . They overcame unprecedented logistical challenges and prevailed , providing the world with a muchneeded time of unified purpose , solidarity and celebration . We are grateful for their generosity , fortitude and tenacity .
• The challenges we have faced have brought ASPC members closer together . There has been an incredible amount of information sharing , trouble shooting and heartfelt support between ASPC Centers . The
ASPC has provided an avenue for leaders of member centers to reach out to one another and to share some of the unique challenges that leaders have faced , gaining invaluable wisdom and insights through the process .
• On-line ASPC continental workshops have started and have been very topical and informative . Please speak to your Continental VP ( see page 14 ) if you are able to host a Virtual Workshop .
• ASPC Centers , working with the IOC , have provided support for Ukrainian athletes and coaches and in some cases they are supporting entire teams .
We are definitely # StrongerTogether .
The ability to adapt has become synonymous with success in our current environment . The concept of AQ or Adaptability Quotient has emerged , it is a trait that every leader needs . Find out more about AQ in our Leadership Section .
