Welcome to the next edition of the ASPC Update .
The focus of this edition is the upcoming XIIth International Forum on Elite Sport that will be hosted in Hong Kong from 18-21 October 2022 . It has been confirmed that the hosts are preparing for the Forum to be a in-person event ( subject to any changes in the pandemic situation in Hong Kong ). ASPC Board Member , Raymond So , and his team have put together an excellent program . October is just around the corner , it ’ s time to start making travel arrangements .
Congratulations to our newly elected President Tapio Korjus and to the newly elected ASPC board members . Thank you for the substantial time contribution that you make for the benefit of us all . We have included recordings of the sessions from our General Assembly that was held virtually in November 2021 , just click on the link to start the video . Following the useful trend of choosing host venues for major sporting events years in advance , the ASPC is happy to announce that INSEP Paris will be the hosts for our XIII Forum in October 2023 . We have included an advert for the Paris Forum in this edition .
The past two years have changed the world as we know it , rhythms and routines have been disrupted . Many of the structures and strategies that we relied on in the past have been proven to be fallible . The needs of our team members have also increased , not in an ordered , predictable fashion but seemingly ever changing and often all at once . Everyone has been impacted at the same time ; a first in human history .
